Completely Necessary For Starting A Drone Biz

From the podcast to the courses, Drone Launch Academy is the best resource for beginner and intermediate drone pilots. This podcast shares so much valuable information for people making consistent money from working with drones and much needed insight into how you can do it yourself. It can be so overwhelming starting a business but hearing these stories and gaining inspiration from the guests helped me feel more confident and get started on my own journey. They also cover a variety of niches so you can benefit from listening no matter if you want to get into real estate, drone mapping, cinematography or any other branch. David and his team have also created an incredible community to help offer feedback and knowledge you can’t find many other places with the drone industry being new.

This is what you want!

The title of the podcast says it all. There is no better way to success than hearing the testimonials from those who have succeeded. The podcast host, David Young, is a very effective interviewer as evidenced by his frequent follow up questions. Some episodes are so packed with useful information that I frequently listen again so I can take notes.

I don’t even own a drone yet, but I listen every day.

I came to this podcast because I had enrolled into a $4,000 course to become a home inspector, and I wanted to add drones to my resume as well. I listen to this podcast so frequently that I dropped the course, requested a deposit refund, and I am now solely focused on the Part 107 course. Thank you for putting this out into the world.

Very Informative!!

The Drone to 1K podcast is very informative and covers many different aspects of the drone space. All of the guests have been very knowledgeable and their insight into different drone applications is indispensable. The podcast is great motivation as I start a drone services business of my own. The Best Motivational Drone Podcast

Just getting into the drone world and found this podcast to be one of not many drone business podcast out there focused on success stories. Not only that it's one of a few, but has really great and informative content as well. I listen to this everyday at work. I appreciate that it's on a podcast so I can just plug in my earphones at work without having to watch something on my phone. I'm intrigued and motivated with the success stories of the drone business on here. Keep up with the great content. Thank you Drone Launch Academy!

This podcast along with the Drone Launch Academy are stellar and very informative. I listen every week to the podcast. Awesome Podcast!

I love this podcast. Its incredibly informative. Hearing from real people and their journeys is not only entertaining but there are so many takeaways in regards to starting a drone business. Im a GIS specialist and fly drones as part of our workflow. The information I’ve gathered from this podcast has helped us expand our GIS/drone branch. The host asks great questions and really lets the guest get into the specifics. Keep it up!

Incredibly Useful Podcast

I am a little late to the party. Like this episode’s speaker, I am on my third career. DLA helped me pass my Part 107 exam and I’ve been hooked ever since. I am catching up on a lot of missed episodes and I’m finding each one filled with useful information. The host, David, asks the questions that I really am curious about. There’s a lot of practical information and the guests are very forthcoming with their answers. Many will talk about practical things like money, skills, and equipment. I’m glad I found this network to clue me into a fascinating career opportunity that I literally knew nothing about four months ago. Keep it up so that I don’t run out of episodes!

Great tool, great podcast!

Lots of different guests from a variety of fields using a drone to make money. The host is easy going and lets the guest talk and doesn’t just repeat what they said but offers good responses and follow up questions. Also, the host of the podcast has a great course to help with the prep of taking the Part 107 course.

Great podcast as someone just getting started the information provided by the guests is very helpful. They have confirmed the initial plans we have made for our business. You have to hustle, be patient and don’t quit when it isn’t moving as fast as you think it should. Jason

Great Podcast

I have listened to every episode and and going through them again. I found information that I missed the first time or just need to refresh my memory. David follows pretty much the same format which I like. There are only a couple podcasts, related to drones, that have withstood the test of time and this is one of them. If you are interested in possibly turning a passion into money, this is a invaluable source. Five stars for sure.

Thought it Was a Sales Pitch, But...

I forget how I landed (no pun intended) on the Drone to 1K Podcast, but I figured it was going to be mostly a high-octane sales pitch for their courses. I also figured it would be done by “I’m better than you” types or aimed only at very experienced pilots. I’m happy to say, that I just burned through three episodes, while doing some house work. Sure, there are a few pitches. But, they had great guests on there, David has an easy-to-listen to voice, and I have already learned a ton. My worries about the things I listed were for naught, as the podcast truly is an easy listen, with no judgmental tones. Glad I found it. <begin click to subscribe>

AMAZING SHOW AND GREAT COMPANY

I first got introduced to Drone Launch Academy through my father in law who got took the part 107 course from DLA. I also took the course and not only is it so great at explaining the concepts, but it taught and backed up by an amazing crew and David himself is a great instructor and so kind. I feel like I already know him personally. He is just a genuine, very kind and respectful person. I came across the podcast after being introduced from an email from David and boy has it been a game changer! There are so many people with so many great ideas, and this podcast is just perfect if you are wanting or thinking about starting your own drone business. I am working on starting my own and this podcast has given me so much hope and inspiration. Highly recommend to anyone!!

Awesome! Great insight from industry PROS and novices alike

I have been listening for a while. Really enjoy the concept and format. Listening to how others have started and succeeded in the industry is great, and motivating. There is enough variety in the guests to provide valuable information for any interest. Always excited when I see a new episode. There was a long gap and I was worried the show would not be back, a new season started a few weeks ago! Thanks David and team!
